My name is Harsi. I work in the emergency services by day, and an aspiring crocheter by – well whenever I have time off work!
I get easily enticed by all things arts and crafts, and an often simple trip to stores such as Hobbycraft or the Range (other stores are available) end with me leaving with my arms full of various different projects that seemed like a good idea at the time.
However there is one teeny tiny problem.
These craft projects often end up in a cupboard or on a bookshelf, untouched for days, and sometimes even, well, years…
Back in December a few moons ago, my lovely partner brought me a “crochet your own cat” kit in response to me suggesting many many times that I would love a cat of my own.
Fast forward a few years, I found said kit which I dusted off and actually attempted to start. I quickly realised that I should probably learn the basics of crochet before even attempting anything more complex than a square.
I also now have an adorable fur baby called Guinness. He likes to help out with my projects (did someone say yarn?!) as well as claim half of the things I make as his own!
By starting this blog, I hope to document my journey, sharing the projects I have actually managed to complete, hold myself accountable to finishing my various WIPs and maybe, just maybe venture forth into making and publishing some patterns of my own!
In this cave of wonders, I hope you’ll find various reviews of crochet projects I have completed on the way, my successes (and of course failures) in the fibre artist world and hopefully some inspiration to embark on your own journey of craft filled discovery.
Watch this space, and hopefully I’ll see you soon.
Harsi x
